Sara Akins, AIA

Project Administrator

A talented designer and communicator, Sara manages her projects with a dedicated focus and an innate ability to connect the dots between design, production, and technical requirements. Outside of Gardner, Sara is an avid runner. She has qualified for the Boston Marathon and routinely competes in trail ultra-marathons, while also serving as a volunteer runner for Ainsley’s Angels and a pacer for the Oklahoma City Memorial marathon. As a community leader, Sara previously participated in the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma’s Leadership Class IV, the 2022 class of Leadership Native Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma Hall of Fame Second Century Board. She currently sits on the Board of Development for Cristo Rey Catholic High School and is a member of the American Indian Chamber of Commerce. Sara is a Citizen of the Chickasaw Nation and lives in Oklahoma City with her husband and chocolate lab Doc.
