Skydance Bridge

A sculptural pedestrian bridge becomes a symbol for uniting a city and ushers in a new era of city development.

This $6.8M design literally and figuratively bridges the north and south portions of Oklahoma City’s new Scissortail Park as described in the Core to Shore Master Plan, connecting Oklahoma City’s past with a bolder and more imaginative future. Inspired by Oklahoma’s state bird, the scissor-tailed flycatcher, the bridge is a 380-foot-long pedestrian bridge featuring a 197-foot-tall sculpture.

Skydance Bridge also represents the connection between people and place. Intended to be multi-directional, it is symbolic of the American crossroads as it marks the “X” where east meets west, and where the City’s core meets the Oklahoma River.
