A renovated landmark building brings commerce and ingenuity to a forgotten part of Oklahoma City.

The driving purpose of the design for this project was to provide an upscale co-working environment for local and visiting entrepreneurs, creating a space that encourages collaboration and inspiration across industries. The final concept utilized the existing layout of the historic Main Street Arcade building to create public and private meeting areas through careful space planning. Custom furniture, high-end finishes, ample natural light, and a unique set of amenities in and around the building stand out from other workspace options in the market.

The pedestrian downtown address provides a connective location for surrounding business professionals and entrepreneurs, with room to accommodate gatherings ranging from small groups to larger networking events. At street level, the main entry opens to a combination reception and event space, with desks and common areas available for day rental. Access to the second floor is available for longer-term tenants, with private offices and open workstations positioned strategically to capture natural light filtering in from the surrounding perimeter of original floor-to-ceiling windows. A secondary kitchen and lobby space are available for entertaining clients, as well as private conference rooms and phone booths for flexible work needs and meetings.

Interior finishes and colors were designed to incorporate dark green and blue tones to match company branding and complement the original natural wood and brick materials. A custom-designed oversized wood lattice creates a memorable focal point visible from the street while allowing light to carry through to the first-floor co-working space. The same tones and pattern are replicated on full-height barn doors that close off the event hall. Upstairs, the same materials are further carried through the space with custom-designed furniture, fabricated specifically to suit the space and project. The final product is a space that feels comfortable, inviting, and productive.
